Largest study ever completed for prevention of dementia

Intensive treatment of cardiovascular disease appear to have a significant preventive effect on the development of dementia. That publish researchers from the Departments of Neurology and General Medicine of the AMC and the Radboud University Medical Centre  in The Lancet today. The preDIVA study (Prevention of Dementia by Vascular Intensive Care ') is the first research on the effect of comprehensive vascular care in the prevention of dementia.
