Elsevier Acquires 3D Anatomy Platform 3D4Medical

Elsevier, a global information analytics business specializing in science and health, and part of RELX, has acquired 3D4Medical, the global anatomy education company headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. With this acquisition, 3D4Medical joins Elsevier’s well-established and trusted health education offerings. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Founded in 2004 by John Moore, 3D4Medical created Complete Anatomy, the world’s most advanced 3D anatomy platform, revolutionizing how students, educators, health professionals, and patients understand and interact with anatomy. With outstanding technology and design that pushes the boundaries of how people learn using advanced 3D visualization tools available on the iPhone and iPad, Complete Anatomy has garnered more than a million registered users at more than 300 of the world’s top universities.
