Video Games for Health?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 1.7 million Americans die from chronic disease each year. In fact, 70 percent of all healthcare costs are for conditions that could be prevented if only people understood the implications of their behaviors and had the will and ability to change. Certainly doctors and health advocates have tried to send that message. They preach sacrifice, discipline, adherence to guidelines. But as the escalating rates of diabetes and other chronic diseases prove, that is not an effective approach.
