Patients are less likely to pick up the phone and call their healthcare providers today than they were just seven years ago. Rather than placing a call to their provider, patients increasingly want to connect through digital channels. This shift in preference toward digital isn’t shocking—more than three in four Americans (77%) go online daily, and one in four (26%) are now online “almost constantly.”
