Welldoc, a digital healthcare pioneer that is revolutionizing chronic disease management, and Dexcom, the leader in real-time continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), announced today the first client for a new integrated offering designed to improve the health of people with Type 2 diabetes. Welldoc will include its BlueStar® digital health solution and the Dexcom G6 CGM system as a single platform offering for select employers and health systems, starting with a Fortune 100 company.
The Dexcom G6 system monitors glucose levels just under the skin's surface and wirelessly transmits data every five minutes. BlueStar®, an FDA-cleared digital health solution, lets users manage the difficult process of dealing with diabetes by empowering them to self-manage their conditions and enhancing connections to their healthcare teams.

The G6 includes a small, water-resistant sensor that is discreet, simple to insert, and FDA-cleared to make diabetes care decisions without the need for confirmatory fingersticks or calibration. The app includes customizable alarms and reminders to warn users about unsafe glucose levels even when they are sleeping.
