Pekin Hospital waives no compete clause for doctor

Pekin Hospital has announced that it will waive a no compete clause in the contract of Dr. Eric Reinertson that would allow him to open a new Pekin office, but the doctor has already committed to a new path. ProHealth Medical Group recently told Premier OB/GYN patients the office will close April 30. The hospital offered a four-month extension on the contract of Reinertson. The doctor’s contract stipulated that he could not practice within a 50-mile radius for two years. Many of his patients were upset by the decision of the hospital.
