OptumServe awarded two contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs

The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded OptumServe two major contracts for 2019 to provide telephone-based lifestyle coaching and medical disability exams. The virtual lifestyle contract covers coaching for diet, exercise, stress and alcohol use for eligible veterans receiving care from the VA at 20 medical centers and their corresponding community-based outpatient clinics. A qualified lifestyle coach will provide scheduled calls to veterans enrolled in the program. Participants will also be able to call the coaching lines outside of scheduled appointments. OptumServe's Logistics Health, Inc., was one of the companies awarded three U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs contracts on November 20 to provide medical disability examinations to veterans and separating service members in Regions 1, 2 and 3, representing 39 states. LHI has been supporting the VA since 2011 through previous versions of the contract.
