NY Health System Promotes Interoperability with SMART on FHIR App

Northwell Health, New York’s largest health system, has coordinated with Intersystems to release a SMART on FHIR application to better collect and store patient data across the health system. Utilizing the combination of InterSystems HealthShare and J2 Interactive, the app eliminates the need for manual workflow and enables care providers to ensure the successful progression of the patient.Having built SMART on FHIR apps on a few different platforms, there's no doubt that HealthShare makes the job much easier, particularly with the flexibility to make changes or adjustments throughout the development process and beyond,” said Lou LaRocca, president and CEO of J2 Interactive. A key component of Northwell’s SMART on FHIR application is its ability to track premature baby development.
