CeloNova is based on a rich history of medical innovation with two PzF coated medical implants successfully commercialized in the U.S. and the EU. The company's PzF coated embolic microspheres product line was sold to Boston Scientific in 2015 and the COBRA PzF NanoCoated Coronary Stent, was developed to safely and effectively treat patients who may benefit from 1-month of dual antiplatelet therapy. CeloNova's new business direction builds upon the successful application of PzF in interventional oncology and cardiology and expands its opportunities through the development of new surface coating technologies to address important unmet clinical needs.
"In my pre-clinical research at CVPath since 2012, CeloNova's proprietary Polyzene-F coating has consistently demonstrated a unique advantage of allowing an implant to heal quickly and in a functional way, without the need for antiproliferative drug elution," stated Aloke Finn, MD, Medical Director and Chief Scientific Officer at CVPath and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland. "I believe Polyzene-F will continue to play an important role in delivering safety and efficacy in clinical practice."
Polyzene-F is a proprietary, ultra-pure and highly elastic surface coating possessing unique mechanical properties that allow an implant to be coated at a nanoscale level. The coating acts as a biocompatible barrier between the implant, intimal surface and circulating elements in the blood and has demonstrated thromboresistant and anti-inflammatory properties with significantly faster, higher quality healing compared to market-leading technologies.1*

Lark Health | March 17, 2022
Lark Health today announced the development of a novel AI-driven program for the prevention and management of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and coronary artery disease in collaboration with Roche Diagnostics. The program, named Lark Heart Health, is an AI-driven virtual care solution that provides personalized health coaching anytime, anywhere. The new Heart Health program is planned to launch later this year.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death globally, and nearly half of all adults in the U.S. have some form of CVD. It's also one of the most expensive chronic conditions, with heart disease and stroke costing the U.S. healthcare system roughly $214 billion annually. Yet, provider shortages and siloed care teams leave patients with limited care options, gaps in care, and insufficient education and empowerment to self-manage their heart health. Additionally, high treatment costs and resource constraints often limit care to those with the highest acuity conditions.
Built using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy framework and designed in accordance with guidelines from the American Heart Association (AHA), Lark Heart Health will provide a cost-effective, scalable solution for continuous, person-centric remote heart health coaching intended to help users improve their healthy lifestyle behaviors, reduce stress levels, and ultimately decrease risk factors for heart disease. Through an evidence-based educational curriculum and real-time personalized coaching, Lark will provide users with the tools they need to make meaningful lifestyle changes that can help them better prevent and manage ASCVD and CAD.
Earlier this year, Lark announced it had joined the AHA's Network at American Heart Association Center of Health Technology & Innovation, which is focused on building and fostering health technology relationships to develop innovative and scalable solutions.
"Lark Heart Health will help those at high risk prevent and actively manage cardiovascular disease through personalized digital coaching. By leveraging our AI technology, we can deliver meaningful and engaging care at an unprecedented scale, and this collaboration with Roche Diagnostics will support the expansion of our proven tech platform into one of the costliest chronic disease markets."
Julia Hu, co-founder and CEO of Lark

The integration will allow healthcare facilities to seamlessly integrate vital signs data into residents’ electronic health records for clinical review, helping to eliminate data entry time lags, transcription errors, and improve clinician efficiency.
“Real‐time understanding of a resident’s vital signs can help prevent hospital readmissions because care teams can more quickly identify and treat the early signs of clinical deterioration. With the Vios Monitoring System and its Remote Monitoring Services, PointClickCare customers have a better way to capture this data and respond to changes in a resident’s condition. It can also free up clinical time that was previously spent on manually spot‐checking and recording vital signs every few hours.”

The Vios Monitoring System is a wireless, FDA‐cleared patient monitoring platform designed to improve resident safety and outcomes. The system delivers insights and value to post‐acute care providers by
Continuously monitoring vital signs. The Vios Monitoring System measures high‐fidelity 7‐lead ECG, heart rate, oxygen levels, pulse rate, respiratory rate, and posture data.
Improving 24/7/365 oversight of changes in resident conditions. With Vios Remote Monitoring Services, a team of cardiac‐trained technicians can alert the on‐site care team to any changes in a resident’s condition, enabling them to quickly respond to resident deterioration that could lead to readmission.
Identifying risk of pressure injuries. The Vios Chest Sensor has a built‐in 3‐axis accelerometer that detects and displays the resident’s posture in real‐time. When turn orders are added, the system can determine when a patient is at‐risk of developing a pressure injury so the on‐site care team can address the issue.
Additional information regarding the integration can be found on the PointClickCare Marketplace – an online platform that enables customers to easily evaluate authorized third-party technology partners. Partners listed on the PointClickCare Marketplace offer integrated apps and/or services that are designed to be quickly deployed and work seamlessly with providers’ existing workflows.
