For HIMSS20, IBM says security, seamless data exchange, AI are key trends

Healthcare and technology leaders are working together to achieve these goals through digital transformation. This digital transformation will blanket the HIMSS20 Global Conference next month, where IT giant IBM and its Watson Health will have a massive presence. Healthcare IT News interviewed Paul Roma, general manager of IBM Watson Health, to see what he and the company see as the key trends impacting this digital transformation will be at HIMSS20 and beyond. “Health data is incredibly valuable and must be shielded from a variety of threats including cyberattacks, corruption, misuse, loss of integrity and others,” he said. “Cloud computing architecture offers a secure environment for data and analytics applications, and security and privacy are especially important as today’s healthcare organizations are using data from multiple sources.”
