Fast-growing Valence Health to sell for $145 million

Valence Health, one of the fastest-growing companies in Chicago, is selling the majority of its business in a $145 million deal.Valence, a 20-year-old company that helps hospitals manage health plans, has entered into a definitive agreement with Evolent Health, an Arlington, Va.-based business with a complementary expertise. The five-year-old company uses software to help hospitals and doctors manage high-risk patients, such as those who see many doctors and are on multiple medications.
