Arizona-based Banner Health recently implemented a digital triage platform that aims to help consumers and patients navigate the 28-hospital health system using artificial intelligence, according to a recent announcement. The platform, Buoy Assistant from Buoy Health, aims to empower healthcare consumers by helping them navigate their healthcare journey through clinician-curated content. For example, the artificial intelligence-power assistant can guide users to an appropriate benefit and prevent unnecessary utilization by using consumer-provided data to recommend services and diagnoses. At Banner Health, we work to identify tools and resources to help make healthcare easier for those we serve,” Jeff Johnson, vice president of innovation & digital business, Banner Health said in the announcement. “Buoy Assistant is a great example of one of those innovative solutions that we now offer our customers, providing them peace of mind and guidance as they navigate health information online.
