Apple, Google Leverage Bluetooth for COVID-19 Contact Tracing

Google and Apple recently announced a joint effort to enable the use of Bluetooth technology to help governments and health agencies bolster COVID-19 contact tracing. Across the world, governments and health authorities are collaborating to enhance efforts to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. Software developers are developing technical tools to help combat the virus as well. Various organizations have enhanced their efforts by working to develop opt-in contact tracing technology. Apple and Google will launch a comprehensive solution that includes application programming interfaces (APIs) and operating system-level technology to assist with COVID-19 contact tracing.
