AHS promotes National Addictions Awareness Week - Edmonton Zone

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is helping Albertans prevent addiction and substance abuse by assisting them in reducing their risk factors and promoting protective factors. The development of problems with substance use is complex; however, there are things individuals can do to help prevent addiction in themselves and others, including their children, says Dr. Nicholas Mitchell, AHS Provincial Medical Director, Addiction and Mental Health.
