How can we increase uptake of bowel cancer screening?

A study found that providing face-to-face health promotion sessions at an individual’s own GP practice, alongside pictorial and multi-lingual guides and non-latex gloves, increases bowel screening uptake by around 5%. The sessions took place after people had received a GP endorsement letter 2 weeks after they were due to return their screening kit.
