ShiftMed and UKG

On January 19, 2023, ShiftMed, an on-demand workforce platform providing labor across the healthcare system, announced a technology partnership with UKG, a provider of payroll, HR, and workforce management solutions.

With this partnership, companies using ShiftMed and UKG Dimensions can access ShiftMed's 350,000+ contract workers within UKG and schedule all personnel using a single system. With ShiftMed and UKG, when a ShiftMed healthcare professional claims a facility's open shift, that credentialed worker is automatically added as an employee within UKG and assigned to the schedule. This removes the need for a UKG Dimensions administrator to enter employee data or update the schedule manually.

UKG solutions are built on the FleX platform. FleX by UKG is an advanced technology platform specifically designed to support workplaces. FleX Flow, a versatile API framework, anchors UKG solutions in the workflow where people require them the most. It enables businesses to connect established IT with emerging applications to enhance the workplace.

Mike May, Vice President of the Tech Partner Program at UKG, said, "At UKG, we strive to create lifelong partnerships with our customers, helping them create modern people experiences to drive better business outcomes and anticipate employee needs beyond just work." He adds, "By cultivating a highly engaged ecosystem of technology partners, including ShiftMed, we're able to help create a more seamless and empowering technology experience."

Juvare Introduces Data Automation Process from EMResource to NHSN

Juvare | December 28, 2022

A leader in crisis and emergency management technology, Juvare recently announced successfully automating the transfer of hospital bed capacity data from EMResource to National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN), run by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). EMResource data has been used as part of the national response to COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic. This has enabled flexible data collection from hospitals and improved visibility at both the state and federal levels. According to estimates, data obtained from EMResource served as the single most important source for hospital information. “McKinsey Institute estimates that automating different tasks can raise productivity growth to 1.4% annually” The company believes that the ability to quickly help hospitals and public health stakeholders keep track of the situation across a region or state and respond to changing regulatory needs without giving healthcare providers more work is a unique feature. Even when there are no federal rules or requirements, EMResource helps states and healthcare coalitions keep track of the capacity and availability of healthcare resources. During the pandemic, Juvare made a number of important changes to the EMResource platform. For example, it updated the user interface and gave hospitals across the state access to APIs so that they could automate data in a way that had never been done before. Also, the company launched the JX Connector integration platform to help the public sector update its digital systems by quickly connecting different data streams. The integration of EMResource and NHSN was done faster with Juvare's JX Connector, a platform for integration-as-a-service. About Juvare Juvare Enterprise Resilience Solutions help organizations connect to the important resources, data, and mutual help they need to bounce back after disasters or other problems. Juvare has helped with over 500,000 emergency response situations each year in more than 25 countries.
