Oneview Healthcare Introduces the Industry's First Cloud-Based Care Experience Platform

Oneview Healthcare, a multinational healthcare services provider, today announced the introduction of CXP Cloud Enterprise a solution for optimizing the patient care experience within health systems. This cloud-based platform, which is deployed on Microsoft Azure and uses Samsung tablets, supports health systems in rapidly incorporating technology for educating patients, reducing non-clinical demands on care teams, and maximizing clinical and organizational effectiveness.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, treatment teams have been under tremendous pressure, and both staff and patients have been denied access to families and friends. Patients and their families can connect remotely with healthcare teams, as well as access to information and health records, thanks to CXP Cloud Enterprise. Oneview allows treatment teams to provide patients with safe bedside access to integrated information and applications, resulting in more positive interaction, increased satisfaction, and higher-quality outcomes.

“NYU Langone Health is devoted to providing the best possible treatment experience for our patients, including virtual care,” said Nader Mherabi, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at NYU Langone Health. “COVID-19 strained resources and pushed most hospitals to consider how virtual pathways could improve patient care. Oneview aided us in creating an in-patient virtual treatment network, which was crucial during the pandemic and will continue to be essential as we bring a new level of patient engagement.”

In 2017, NYU Langone Health started using Oneview's interactive patient engagement app. Faced with the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020, NYU Langone urged Oneview to assist in the rapid deployment of the interactive engagement platform across their facilities. The organizations worked together on the initial cloud-based version, which allowed NYU Langone to implement key functionality across 400 beds in just a few weeks. CXP Cloud Enterprise, which was introduced today, provides the full features and integration capabilities of the care experience app in a simpler, smoother, and more accessible cloud format.

With patient education, meal ordering, patient service requests, apps, and digital services, virtual rounding, visitation, and translation services, Oneview's CXP Cloud Enterprise delivers full connectivity on stable, reliable cloud deployment. This robust interface improves both patient and care provider's control and quality of treatment.

Key features of CXP Cloud Enterprise include:

  • Telehealth consultation from offsite treatment team members at the bedside.
  • Questionnaires for rounding and a digital worklist.
  • Screencasting by a clinician to help patients know their diagnosis, care, and goals.
  • Nurses can reduce call button distractions by using automatic service requests.
  • Hospital education manuals that are customized to the patient's needs.
  • Food preparation is tailored to their nutritional requirements.
  • On-the-go entertainment
  • To communicate with friends and relatives, using video chat.
  • Simple connectivity with existing systems for a single, stable platform that hosts the most popular apps.

“The need for rapid solution creation and delivery in healthcare has never been greater,” said Niall McDonagh, Microsoft's health sector manager. “Microsoft Azure allows healthcare organizations to scale into a fully automated, dynamic, flexible, inclusive, and diverse patient experience.”
