BD a leading global medical technology company, announced the formation of the Sustainable Medical Technology Institute, a model of practice within the organization that will bring together BD researchers and engineers, as well as quality, regulatory, policy and operational expertise, to focus on reducing the environmental impact of the company's product portfolio in three areas, including adopting sustainable product design strategies, developing and deploying sustainable sterilization technologies, and addressing materials of concern.
The Institute will serve as an example of how the company continues to advance the world of health by prioritizing high-quality, safe products for patients, while furthering its environmental, social and governance strategy.

The Institute will operate in North America, Europe and Asia, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams within the company's business units, inclusive of research and development, regulatory, quality, policy and operations roles, with the goal of ensuring accountability and a streamlined approach to sustainability efforts, as well as further address sustainability needs within the industry and global regulatory bodies. Key initial efforts include reestablishing a set of minimum environmental and human health criteria for new products and product changes aligned with the company's 2030+ ESG commitments and goals, and identifying new ways to reduce, reuse, recycle or replace materials. These efforts will inform the company's product life cycle roadmap and enable adoption of a sustainable-by-design product development process.

UniDoc Health Corp., an innovator in the telehealth sector, is pleased to advise on a commercial master distribution agreement (the “Agreement”) with Massachusetts-based AMD Global Telemedicine Inc. (“AMD Global”) for the provision of specialized products and services critical to ongoing commercialization efforts.
As a pioneer of virtual care technology, and an industry leader in telehealth solutions, AMD Global has been providing quality healthcare solutions for over 30 years with product sales and registered deployments in 100+ countries. The agreement adds AMD Global as a UniDoc key supplier of telehealth solutions including virtual care software platforms, integrated medical devices, and telemedicine bundled kits.
The products and services will be purposed and integrated into the UniDoc Virtual Care Solutions Model (“VCSM”), which will offer a proprietary, customizable, and comprehensive telehealth solution based on a variety of integrated physical enclosures, kiosks, and related configurable packaging designed to deliver web-based services and analytical tools in combination with access to a developing network of healthcare providers, pharmacies, and hospitals.
All AMD Global products and telehealth technologies are built to provide high performance and quality, are easy to use and maintain, and operate dependably even in difficult environments. AMD Global is ISO 13485:2003 certified and runs an FDA registered facility operating within good manufacturing telemedicine best practices guidelines. The AMD platform provides UniDoc with immediate access to FDA & Health Canada approved devices (FDA Certified; ISO 13485; and FDA GMP – including all HIPPAA privacy and compliance) which support and help propel the Company’s fast-track plans for commercialization.

The Company will mark the opening of its 25,000 square-foot site with a ceremonial ribbon cutting event with state and local government representatives, business community leaders, and employees.
