Signify Health and Ardent Health Services Collaborate to Improve Healthcare Outcomes

Signify Health, Inc. | December 15, 2022

Signify Health, Inc. a leading healthcare platform that leverages advanced analytics, technology and nationwide healthcare networks to create and power value-based payment programs, today announced an expansion of its relationship with Ardent Health Services, a premier provider of healthcare services with more than 200 sites of care across six states. A former participant in the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation’s Bundled Payments for Care Improvement-Advanced program, Ardent will join a 2023 Signify-enabled accountable care organization (ACO) to implement care transformation, manage risk and provide high-quality, coordinated care for its Medicare patients. Ardent’s affiliated network of facilities and physicians in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas will work together with independent providers in a collaborative ACO model to achieve the benefits of scale and to effectively manage risk. The strategic collaboration will support alignment with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) goal of having all Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in an accountable relationship by 2030. “Ardent is proud of our success to date in value-based care, including the work we have done to transform our patient experience after discharge to achieve an over 26% reduction in our 90-day readmission rate and improve the clinical outcomes among participating patients,” said Marty Bonick, President and CEO of Ardent Health Services. “We are excited to expand our partnership with Signify Health to bring our patients proven preventive and care management services that will help drive better health and improve the overall experience for both patients and care teams.” Earlier this year, Signify Health acquired Caravan Health, a leader in enabling sustainable ACO and population health programs. With this acquisition, Signify Health supports one of the largest networks of at-risk providers and offers one comprehensive platform to manage total cost of care. In 2020 and 2021, 100% of Signify Health’s collaborative ACO participants earned shared savings. According to Tim Gronniger, Chief of Value-based Care Solutions, Signify Health, “CMS has stated that providers will soon be expected to move away from fee-for-service and take accountability for their cost of care. We are thrilled to work with Ardent Health Services to deliver the infrastructure needed to support their success with accountable care. Through our work together, Ardent’s Medicare patients will receive increased access to preventative and in-home services that can help to diminish health inequities and increase savings.” About Signify Health Signify Health is a leading healthcare platform that leverages advanced analytics, technology, and nationwide healthcare provider networks to create and power value-based payment programs. Radius XR™ Named as the CES 2023 Innovation Award Honoree for Wearable Device That Combines Therapy and Diagnostic Capabilities

Radius XR | November 17, 2022

Today at the CES Unveiled New York event, Radius XR™, a new fashion-forward wearable healthcare technology brand, was named a CES® 2023 Innovation Awards Honoree in both the Digital Health and Virtual & Augmented Reality categories. Radius was selected from among a record number of submissions to this year’s CES Innovation Awards program. The announcement was made ahead of CES 2023, the influential technology event, happening Jan. 5-8 in Las Vegas, NV. Radius XR builds on the therapeutic legacy of IrisVision, a leader in digital vision technologies and itself a 2019 CES Innovation Winner. The Radius proprietary XR assistive device brings together—for the first time—multimodal diagnostics, practice management, and patient engagement. “This is a tremendous honor for our new company. It follows on the success of our IrisVision visual assistive device, which has provided a life-changing solution for thousands of individuals living with legal blindness and low-vision conditions. Radius expands on our commitment to vision health by providing the eyecare industry with an easy-to-use wearable device capable of performing standard perimetry tests. Other exams include color vision, visual acuity, contrast sensitivity—a comprehensive suite of standard vision tests. Development of additional exams is ongoing.” Radius founder and CEO Ammad Khan Radius enables patients to quickly and easily conduct vision tests with minimal guidance or intervention by the staff. The device’s RadiusExam® software and proprietary algorithms provide diagnostic testing results equivalent to current exam gold standards. “By designing our own hardware and software, we’re able to overcome many of the challenges inherent in the off-the-shelf headsets already on the market. Matching visual field strategies, background luminance, stimulus size and dynamic range allows us to mirror the current standards, making it easy and intuitive for clinicians to transition to Radius,” said John Trefethen, Radius Chief Marketing Officer. In addition, the included Business Suite helps clinicians manage everyday aspects critical to their practice's ongoing success. Features like patient education, staff training and clinician onboarding are now possible inline with the Radius platform. Radius is the industry’s lightest wearable device and has the look and feel of a pair of stylish sunglasses. The compact, lightweight design overcomes the challenges of expensive and bulky legacy devices that force patients to sit in uncomfortable positions for testing. With Radius, exams can be conducted anywhere, even in the waiting room, eliminating the need to shuttle patients between machines, which can be challenging for individuals with mobility or vision issues. The CES Innovation Awards program, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in 27 consumer technology product categories. Those with the highest rating receive the “Best of Innovation” distinction. An elite panel of industry expert judges, including members of the media, designers, engineers and more, reviewed submissions based on innovation, engineering and functionality, aesthetics, and design. The CES 2023 Innovation Awards honorees, including product descriptions and photos, can be found at CES.tech/innovation. Radius will be on display at the Innovation Awards Showcase at CES 2023 in Las Vegas in January. About Radius XR The Radius XR platform is a portable vision diagnostic and patient engagement system that combines medical-grade diagnostics, business management, and patient education tools in a single wearable XR device. The RadiusExam® and proprietary algorithms provide diagnostic testing results equivalent to current exam gold standards, with the clinical science validated by Deming regression. As the algorithm presents stimuli to patients, it adapts to responses to maximize the algorithm's speed. The total hardware and software system helps medical professionals diagnose patients with accuracy, grow their eyecare practices, enhance patient engagement, and reduce staff workload by enabling patients to perform self-guided vision exams with minimal supervision.

19Labs and MOH Launch Historic Telemedicine Project to Transform Healthcare in Guyana

19Labs | December 20, 2022

In cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation a telemedicine pilot program with GALE eClinics was launched in four remote areas of Guyana. "We have reached a milestone and begin a journey that has the potential to transform health." Dr. Leslie Ramsammy, GPHC Board Chairman During the Telemedicine Launch, 19Labs CEO, Ram Fish, joined Guyana's Health Minister, Dr. Frank Anthony, in Masakenari, or as it is better known locally, Gunns Village. They were welcomed by the village Toshao, Paul Chekema, and the village residents. Using the newly installed eClinic system, Gunns was able to connect to the Georgetown Public Hospital and the three other villages that form part of this pilot program. The program's purpose is to provide equitable healthcare to all of Guyana's citizens. This keeps in line with the vision of Guyana's President, Dr. Ali, of creating a 'world-class' healthcare system for Guyana. Dr. Ramsammy, began the launch by saying: "Our ambition is to improve health care for all of our people, and as we understand that we can't put…a Georgetown public-level hospital in every village, we believe that citizens, in every part of the country, could get access to basic healthcare…We have reached a stage this morning, where we could launch Guyana's national telemedicine program." One of the major challenges in achieving such a vision is the remote locations with the lack of connectivity. Gunns Village is a 5-day boat and land trek during the rainy season when planes cannot use the local airstrip. 19Labs is proud to provide a solution as the four health posts that are part of this pilot are now connected to the world through the internet over satellite. With the GALE eClinic Telemedicine units, even the most isolated village now has access to top-quality medical care. In a very short time, Gunns went from an area that had no connectivity, electricity, and little medical equipment, to the ability to instantly connect to the healthcare and staff of the Georgetown Public Hospital. Dr. Anthony said: "With the technology we have now installed, this particular health center has a full complement of internet-enabled devices which we will…be able to do ultrasounds, ECGs, and a whole host of other things to help to assess the patient." GALE eClinics replicate the full clinical experience providing and filling the need for both general health and specialty care including prenatal, OBGYN, maternal, cardiac, and chronic condition management. Our partnership goes beyond a one-time fix. The local communities now have access to more opportunities. Ram Fish said: "This goes even beyond just health care, [this transforms communities]. The equity that it brings to us also opens the eyes of people and places to different cultures, and different ways of doing things…It's about empowering with technology local young women and men who really become the centers of the communities beyond just health…This is the beginning of a journey…We will expand and work together to really make healthcare equitable across Guyana and beyond." About 19Labs 19Labs is the creator of GALE, Next Generation Point-of-Care platform for pharmacies, schools, and rural communities. GALE brings together cutting-edge diagnostic technologies from industry leaders like Zoom, Elo, Amwell, Eko, Samsung Mobile, MIR, Omron, Viasat, and many others in one smart, efficient, and cost-effective platform. It was designed from the ground up to be operated by non-healthcare professionals, in locations with limited infrastructure and optimized for low bandwidth and intermittent connectivity.
