Commure Introduces New Model to Accelerate Transformation

To help healthcare organizations hurdle long-standing barriers to meaningful transformation and drive exponential innovation at scale, Commure, Inc. today introduced CommureOS, a revolutionary transformation platform purpose-built for healthcare, at HLTH 2022.

CommureOS is designed to give healthcare organizations the power to synthesize and maximize their existing solutions as well as easily build and rapidly deploy intelligent workflows to enhance clinical, operational, and financial efficiency. By reconciling information through a single platform and facilitating easy and connected innovation, CommureOS enables hospitals and health systems to streamline their technology experience, empower their healthcare workforce, and enhance care delivery and outcomes.

“For decades, health organizations have been pushed to innovate at near-impossible speeds to keep up with the industry’s rate of change — and have made remarkable strides despite it all, More than ever, they deserve a robust tech experience that ensures their progress can endure. Over the past five years, we’ve been quietly and responsibly building a new model of innovation with some of our nation’s biggest health systems — and today, we invite pioneering organizations to embark with us on a new era of healthcare transformation.”

- Ashwini Zenooz, MD, CEO of Commure

With CommureOS, healthcare organizations can more effectively and efficiently:

  • Unlock and connect disparate data points and static insights across their technology ecosystem and make them actionable and helpful at the point of care.
  • Create, test, and deploy new solutions to solve their unique challenges with modular and industry-native building blocks — turning months of development into hours of configuration.
  • Reuse established clinical and non-clinical data connections and extend across multiple use cases and workflows to seamlessly scale innovation throughout their organization.

At a time when hospitals and health systems across the country are grappling with rising burnout and attrition, Commure is steadfast in our commitment to empower the healthcare workforce by simplifying and optimizing the tasks they do and the workflows they use every day, By helping health organizations derive meaning from mountains of data and build connected solutions at scale, we can finally ensure that people — rather than technology — are at the heart of our healthcare ecosystem, said Abhijit Mitra, chief product and engineering officer at Commure.

With CommureOS, leading health systems and hospitals have the tools and support to create or customize the organizational workflows they need with ease, enabling them to streamline traditionally manual and time-consuming tasks and cultivate a more dynamic experience for clinicians, staff, and care delivery teams.

There’s a new generation of digital health innovators keeping health systems at the center of their own transformation journeys — and Commure is at the forefront, Migrating from point solutions to platform is essential for technology-driven transformation of the sector. By connecting the dots and driving exceptional experiences, Commure is advancing our collective pursuit of responsible and enduring innovation, said Hemant Taneja, CEO and managing director at General Catalyst and co-founder of Commure.

CipherHealth and SADA Collaborate to Improve Patient Care Via Looker

CipherHealth | January 06, 2023

CipherHealth, a leader in patient engagement technology and communication solutions, recently teamed up with SADA, an award-winning Google Cloud Partner, to use Google Cloud's Looker to collect socioeconomic data to improve patient care. With this new feature, CipherHealth aims to empower healthcare leaders by enabling them to collect large volumes of data and assist patients and medical professionals at each point of the care journey. Earlier, CipherHealth's platform gave doctors and nurses complete conversational and clinical information about each patient. It worked with SADA, a company that knows how to set up and run Google Cloud's analytics platform Looker, to add self-service analytics to the platform and make it more useful. With the help of Looker Embedded Analytics, CipherHealth has made it easier for its clients to access this data for analysis and visualization at any time during the patient's life. As a result of the partnership, CipherHealth's clients, which include 500 hospitals across the country, will now have access to patient data about social determinants of health (SDOH). Also, they can use in-built analytics to divide patient groups and send personalized messages to each of them separately. With this information, CipherHealth's clients can zero in on a specific patient and find out what kind of treatment they need, along with any special accommodations (like if they have trouble making appointments). CipherHealth is HIPAA-compliant, meaning it may safely analyze and transfer clients' protected health information (PHI) over the internet. The company believes combining SADA with Google Cloud can give its clients a new view of their patient populations. It will also allow the company to make changes to its care delivery that are good for patients. In line with this, SADA said that the integration of Looker from Google Cloud improves the patient experience for CipherHealth and its clients. About CipherHealth CipherHealth is a proven technology solutions partner dedicated to improving patient communication and care. Since 2009, the company has helped build the market for patient engagement by making innovative tools that help providers give excellent care. The range of patient engagement programs from CipherHealth sets new standards for care and provides healthcare businesses with the tools they need to have meaningful conversations with their patients.

CrowdHealth Secures $6M Series A for Community-Powered Alternative to Health Insurance

CrowdHealth | December 12, 2022

CrowdHealth recently secured $6 million in Series A funding from Next Coast Ventures and Activate Venture Partners. CrowdHealth plans to reinvest that funding back into the company—growing the CrowdHealth community and providing more tools for members that want to take charge of their healthcare and affordably break free from health insurance. Operating under a monthly membership model, CrowdHealth is a health care technology company that offers a new way to use and pay for health care services outside of health insurance. CrowdHealth harnesses the power of crowdfunding to help their members fund medical bills, keeping them out of medical debt without being exploited by health insurance companies. Instead of paying a high premium for insurance companies to decide what is or isn't covered, CrowdHealth members make a monthly membership payment and others in the Crowd help fund medical bills from their own accounts. In addition to the low monthly membership and the increased autonomy of crowdfunding, CrowdHealth also makes Care Advocates available to members. Care Advocates can coordinate with doctors and hospitals to negotiate lower costs for medical bills on behalf of members which is a far departure from the health insurance model that has existed for decades. "Our health insurance system is broken. Health insurance is cold, oftentimes unreliable, and perversely incentivized. We're changing the game at CrowdHealth. Treating people like real people, like extensions to our family, supporting them in their health journey, and helping get their bills paid at a low cost." Andy Schoonover, CEO of CrowdHealth CrowdHealth also offers a Bitcoin investment option for members who are interested in harnessing the power of Bitcoin. This new innovation, launched in October 2022 in partnership with Swan Bitcoin, will allow members to redirect a portion of their monthly subscription payment to a Swan account. About CrowdHealth CrowdHealth provides people with an opportunity to take control of their healthcare choices. Members are able to combat and overcome the challenges of traditional healthcare models effectively without the need for insurance.
